A Bus Ride to Japan

Book:
Dragonbreath #2: Attack of the Ninja Frogs
By: Ursula Vernon

Rating:
A whole book shelf! That is the best! Seriously!

Review:
In my case, Dragonbreath: Attack of the Ninja Frogs is one of the funniest books I have ever read.If you like funny things like, well, pictures, giant frogs that say funny things, and mad scientists that sell fortresses to ninjas you'll probably like this book. At night, my mama had to tell me to toss the book down from my bed. This is a caution for you - don't read this book if your parents have a strict bedtime! Or put it in a safe at bedtime!!

The main characters are:

  • Danny: Danny is a dragon and he likes pepperoni pizza. In this book, he also likes ninjas. He is really funny and super weird. And he is a daydreamer.
  • Wendell: Wendell is an iguana. He is the brainiac of the mission. He is really crazy because he runs at a giant Komodo dragon!!!
  • Suki: Suki is a salamander. And a girl!  (What is up! There are two boys and a girl in most books!) She is an exchange student from Japan. She is really funny too! I would say everyone in the book is funny. She is also related to a warrior named Leaping Sword (Read the book to find out more - seriously!)

This book takes place in the winter during school time. I like it because
  • Mind blowing things happen.
  • It is a graphic novel.
  • The characters say wacky things.
If you want to learn more about this book or buy it (it is $10.99 at Amazon), here it the author's web site:

Famous Pizza

What's this pizza place called?
Joyce's Famous Pizza

Where is it?
2120 S.Broadway, Denver, CO 80210

How can I find out more?
  • Old school: (303) 777-4992

What did you rate it Oscar?
Half a pie (That's really good but not as good as some.)

So, what is the review?
There's regular pizza and there is famous pizza. If you get a choice, go for famous pizza because really, really good.

I went after Kids Stage and I was starving. When I walked in, there were red and white tiles and chalkboards above the counter with the menu. There were photos of New York City on the walls and a replica of the Statue of Liberty. This is a New York style pizza place so that is my guess why they have all this New York style stuff.

A small cheese pizza is $9.99. Me and my brother split this and I had enough for lunch. When I saw the pizza I was like "This is going to be really really good." And it was as good as I thought. There were hardly any bumps on the pizza. In my case, that is good. The crust was chewy and thick. The sauce was smooth. The cheese was even and looked delicious.

I cannot give this pizza place full marks because the pizza was so hot when it came to the table. Also, the sauce was a little spicy. Also,k the windows face West and there was a lot of light pouring in. It hurt my eyes. Also, they use paper plates and plastic silverware. This can hurt marine animals. And they did not have a recycle bin.

I had a coke to drink.

Have a cheesy day!

A Quest to Save the World

Book:
The Copernicus Legacy Book 1: The Forbidden Stone
By Tony Abbott

Rating:
Second to best

Review:
If you are looking for a good summer book about a quest, the first book in the Copernicus Legacy series - The Forbidden Stone - might be the book for you.

In this book, four kids and their dad go off to Germany for a funeral of their uncle. They find out that their uncle left them a mysterious letter about something called the Copernicus Legacy. They need to find twelve relics to rebuild the Copernicus Legacy. If the bad guys get the legacy before they do, the earth is highly likely to be destroyed.

The main characters are:

  • Wade: Wade was adopted by a professor from Austin. He really like space and math and his family. Wade is my favorite character.
  • Lily: Lily is like my sister. She never shut up in the whole book and is really into her clothes. But she is smart too, just like my sister. My sister would not do too well on the quest though. She would be freaked out in her mind when they find the first relic. (Read the book to find out why!)
  • Darrell: Darrell is the mystery guy in the book. He always suspects people and has weird ideas. He is also a goofball.
  • Becca: Her head is always in a book learning things. She is like Hermoine Granger from the Harry Potter series.
This book takes place in the summer. I like it because:
  • It takes place in Europe and is kind of mysterious.
  • It is sort of scary and the heat might drive away your fear.
I so want to read the other books in the series. You will too.

If you want to learn more about this book or buy it (it is $14.32 at Barnes and Noble), here it the author's web site:

Perfect Pizza

What's this pizza place called?
Romano's Italian Restaurant

Where is it?
5666 S Windermere St, Littleton, CO 80120

How can I find out more?
  • Old school: (303) 798-4944

What did you rate it Oscar?
1 whole pie! (That's very, very good!)

So, what is the review?
Amazing! Delicious! PIZZA!!!!

Romano's pizza gets full marks because of the chewy crust, fine sauce, and the evenly distributed melty cheese. The pizza tastes better than it looks. When I first saw the pizza I thought "What! Did they cook this in a volcano?" Then, I took a bite and it was DELICIOUS! The sauce was not spicy. My tongue jumped up and down with happiness.

Kids, if you want this pizza order from the adult menu. There is no pizza on the kids menu. I was shocked about this!

When I was there, a small pizza was $8.99. I ate five slices and had enough to bring home for lunch.

I drank root beer. It was really good as well.

If you don't like the cold bring a coat or send your pet penguin to get take out. In other words it is chilly inside. The window blinds were down and no sun came in to warm up the place.

The last thing you should know the chairs are uncomfortable. Very uncomfortable.

Have a cheesy day!

Who am I? And why should you read this blog??

Hello. My name is Oscar. I have eaten TONS of pizza and you can trust me. I have read more books than I have eaten pizza. So you can also trust my book reviews.

Me eating pizza in Texas.I ate 8 slices. Myself.

I am 9 years old. I live in Denver, Colorado. I live with my mama and pop and twins (a brother and a sister). My brother has spina bifida and has braces. My sister is really loud and can be bossy.

You should expect a book review from me every Monday and a pizza review every Friday. You should expect all the reviews to be mine. No one pays me to for the reviews (But if you want to pay me, send me a note!).

A good pizza has melty cheese and a chewy crust. It does not have brown spots and the cheese is even. The crust does not have a lot of of bubbles and the pizza has nothing on it except sauce and cheese. NO PEPPERONI ALLOWED!

A good book has a good beginning. It also has a bad guy that comes back from the near dead and a hero to send him back to wherever he came from. I like other books too.

Other than eating pizza and reading I like bike riding and playing video games.

I hope you can eat the pizza I review here and read the books too - they are going to be good!

Have a cheesy day! And a booky night!
